Eldorado Hills golf course shares for sale
NORFOLK - Residents in the area of Eldorado Hills are being asked to step up to the tee box and help save the neighborhood golf course. Kevin Hall is a member of the Eldorado Hills advisory board. He says the owners of the Eldorado Hills Golf Course have been trying to sell for several years, and now plan to close the business on October 31st. Hall says that, in addition to providing great, convenient golf, the Eldorado Hills course adds value to homes in the area. He says their research has indicated that closing the course could reduce the value of homes on the course of just across the street by as much as 20 percent. Hall says the advisory board is currently contacting all residents near Eldorado Hills, offering them stock in the course for $5,000. He says there are 179 homes on or across the street from the course, and about 20 members who do not live in the Eldorado Hills area have also expressed an interest. Another 20 of what Hall calls “senior stock” memberships will be sold for $20,000 each. Any stock purchase provides a lifetime social membership. The senior memberships provide more votes on the board. Anyone interested in learning more about the situation, or who would like to purchase stock in the Eldorado Hills Golf Course, is asked to call the club house at 402-371-1453.
