Expect Higher Food Prices for 2014

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Food prices were a real bargain in 2013.  U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Economist Ricky Volpe says food prices increased about one percent in 2013, but says food-price inflation will return to more normal figures in 2014 which may seem like a big price hike compared to last year.  He says the Consumer Price Index could increase 3.5% this year.
