Farm Bill webinar set for Friday

TEKAMAH - Congress extended the 2013 Farm Bill for one year – but did NOT extend the decision farmers made four years ago between two different types of farm programs. Farmers are again required to make the choice between the Direct and Countercyclical or Average Crop Revenue Election programs.  To help producers make that decision, University of Nebraska Extension will host a webinar Friday from 10:30 until noon with presentations by Public Policy Specialist Dr. Brad Lubben and Extension Educator Tim Lemmons. There is no charge and pre-registration is not required.  To take part in the webinar, use the website connect.unl.edu/farmbillmeeting.  Enter as a guest, and type your name when prompted to do so. For those without Internet access, the webinar will be downloaded in the courthouse in Tekamah, at the Haskell Ag Lab near Concord and in the Washington County Extension office in Blair.
