Feasability study planned for indoor sports facility

NORFOLK - A feasibility study is planned to see if an indoor sports facility is needed in Norfolk, and what size such a facility should be.  Kim Kwapnioski, executive director of the Norfolk Area Visitors Bureau, says the facility would have extra gym space and other features like an indoor track, indoor pool, and space for softball and baseball. Kwapnioski says the feasibility study s would also help to determine if such a facility would be sustainable in Norfolk. Among those who have contributed to the cost of the study are the city of Norfolk, Madison County, the YMCA, Northeast Community College and several businesses and individuals.
Anyone interested in learning more about the proposed field house, or wishing to be on the committee working on the project, can contact Kwapnioski at the Norfolk Area Visitors Bureau.
