Gov. Heineman to speak at banquet on eve of 1st Northeast Nebraska All-Star Football Classic
NORFOLK - Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman has accepted an invitation to be the featured speaker at the inaugural Northeast Nebraska All-Star Football Classic Banquet on Friday night, June 7. The banquet is being held in conjunction with week-long activities in preparation for the first All-Star football game, which will be played on Saturday night, June 8 at Norfolk’s Veteran’s Memorial Park at 7 p.m.
Burns Hall Gymnasium, which is on the campus of Norfolk Catholic High School, will be the site of the banquet. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the banquet beginning at 6:30 p.m. The banquet will be limited to the first 300 tickets sold. No tickets will be sold at the door. Pre-paid tickets ($15) can be purchased at the Norfolk Area Visitors Bureau, 609 W. Norfolk Ave.
The Red vs. White All-Star Classic will feature 70 of the finest graduated high school seniors from a pool of 59 high school teams from throughout Northeast Nebraska.
