Gubernatorial Candidate Ricketts: Business Experience a Plus

NORFOLK - Gubernatorial candidate and Omaha businessman Pete Ricketts says he talks to voters about what he says, every governor should talk to voters about: education, jobs and the ag economy.  In his bid to become Nebraska’s Chief Executive, Ricketts says voters should consider his experience as Chief Operations Officer for Omaha-based TD Ameritrade.  Ricketts says he’s committed to reducing taxes - particularly property taxes - and reigning in government spending.  Ricketts was at Prenger’s in Norfolk Wednesday to address a group of Madison County Republicans.  He’s one of five candidates challenging for the GOP nomination for governor, along with State Auditor Mike Foley, and state senators Beau McCoy, Tom Carlson and Charlie Janssen.
