Gubernatorial Candidates to Debate in Norfolk Wednesday

NORFOLK - The six men seeking the Republican nomination for governor will be in Norfolk tomorrow (Wednesday) night for a forum, hosted by the Norfolk Daily News, the Nebraska Republican Party and Norfolk Senior High.  The forum begins at 7 p.m. in the Johnny Carson Theatre at Norfolk Senior High, with doors opening at 6:15 p.m. There is no charge, but tickets are required for admittance and can be picked up at the Norfolk Daily News office.  One of the unusual features of the debate will be the rebuttal round when each candidate will have the chance to respond directly to something he heard earlier in the debate and be able to pose a specific question to a fellow candidate.  The six Republican gubernatorial candidates are Jon Bruning, Pete Ricketts, Beau McCoy, Bryan Slone, Mike Foley and Tom Carlson.
