Implement Dealership will Rebuild after Wayne Tornado
WAYNE, Neb. (AP) - The co-owner of a Nebraska farm implement dealership destroyed by an Oct. 4 tornado says he plans to rebuild. Grossenburg Implement was among the worst-damaged businesses in the tornado that struck Wayne. Co-owner Barry Grossenburg says damage to the dealership's equipment totaled a little more than $10 million, in addition to about $6 million in damage to the buildings. Grossenburg says he's extremely thankful that no one at his firm or anywhere else in town was killed. He says 22 of the dealership's 35 employees were on site when the tornado struck, but only minor injuries were reported. Grossenburg plans to erect new, larger buildings on the original site. He says the company has insurance, which will help it avoid layoffs.
