Lots of Free Fun at Madison County Fair

MADISON - Three big nights of MidStates Championship Rodeo kick off Wednesday in front of the grandstand on the Madison County fairgrounds in Madison.  The Madison County Fair officially opened last night with a free slack rodeo. Fair Board spokesman Linda Haack says two big concerts are planned this weekend, but the fair has lots of other fun things to do.  Open class and 4-H projects, livestock, exhibits and a Heartland of America carnival is on the midway, with wrist band specials every day.  There is no gate charge at the Madison County Fair and no charge for parking. Free shuttles help get people back and forth from the parking area.
