Man Arrested for Active Warrants, Obstructing Police

NORFOLK - A 24-year-old Norfolk man was arrested early this morning on outstanding Madison County warrants and resisting arrest. Police Captain Mike Bauer says Rockie McGraw was spotted just after 2 o’clock this morning. When approached by officers, Bauer says McGraw fled into the garage at 422 Northwestern Avenue and eventually into the apartment at that address. The occupant allowed police to enter, and McGraw was taken into custody for the outstanding warrants, obstructing a police officer, resisting arrest and having an open container of alcohol. He was taken to the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail. Bauer also reports two arrests for driving under the influence early Saturday morning. 35-year-old Jeremy Barg of Norfolk was arrested for second offense DUI at 12:46 a.m. near the intersection of South 1st and Omaha Avenue. At 1:08, officers arrested 29-year-old Leonard Kingsley of Norfolk for first offense DUI with a blood alcohol level above .15. Both Barg and Kinglsey were held in the Norfolk City Jail and released after posting cash bonds.
