NECC Instructors Return from Denmark

NORFOLK - Three Northeast Community College faculty members have returned from a Scandinavian adventure.  Brian Anderson, Cara Hoehne, and Kate Trindle spent two weeks in late March and early April providing guest lectures at Aarhus Business College in Denmark.  The faculty exchange is part of a Memorandum of Understanding signed by administrators of both Aarhus and Northeast last year.  Anderson, a broadcasting instructor at Northeast says with media like the Internet and email making the world ever smaller, it's increasingly important for students to have a global awareness.  Anderson says he and the other Northeast instructors, were warmly received by their Danish hosts.  They toured Danish businesses, discussed cultural differences, and future exchanges.  The partnership with Aarhus directly corresponds with one of Northeast’s eight institutional priorities: Global Educational Opportunities.
