New Museum Executive Director Getting Settled In

NORFOLK - The Elkhorn Valley Museum and Research Center’s new executive director is excited about working with Northeast Nebraskans and helping to tell their stories.  Schenectady, New York native Ryan Leichenauer says the museum is community-centered and poised to be even more engaging with the community.    Leichenauer says he looks forward to working with multiple generations of Norfolk-area residents.  He’s a native of Schenectady, New York, a graduate of Tufts University, and holds a masters degree in History Museum Studies from the Cooperstown Graduate Program – home of Baseball’s Hall of Fame.  He comes to Norfolk from Arlington, Virginia, where he worked as membership manager for the Association of Children’s Museums.
