New School Board Member Takes Oath of Office

NORFOLK - The Norfolk Public Schools Board of Education is once again at full strength.  At Monday night’s meeting, Board chairman Bruce Mitchell welcomed Tammy Day to the Board and administered the oath of office.  Superintendent Dr. Jami Jo Thompson says Day has completed orientation with the Central Office staff and is ready to become an active member of the Board.  Day replaces Julee Pfeil, who resigned in January. She faces election for a four-year term this fall. Others in the race for the three open positions are incumbent Bruce Mitchell, Linnea Gettman, Patti Gubbels and Justin Young.
