Norfolk letter carriers collect more than 2 tons of food

NORFOLK -  The Norfolk Food Pantry's shelves will be a lot more full thanks to the men and women who carry your mail.  Norfolk letter carriers collected more than two tons of food Saturday during the National Association of Letter Carriers’ annual food drive.  Norfolk letter carrier Rick Hoffman says the 4,300 pounds collected is a new record.  Residents were asked to leave out non-perishable food items that letter carriers collected while delivering the mail.   2013 marked the drive’s 7th year.  All of the food has been donated to the Good Neighbors Food Pantry.
