Property Valuation for Madison County, Norfolk City Up Slightly

MADISON - Property valuations in Madison County and the city of Norfolk are up slightly compared to last year. That’s according to the valuations certified yesterday by County Assessor Jeff Hackerott. The valuation of Madison County is nearly $3-billion, up $14-million from last year. The Norfolk City property valuation is set at $1.2-billion, up about $7-million from last year. The valuation numbers are used by government subdivisions to set tax levies for the coming year.
