Authorities in Allen say two people have been injured following a small chemical explosion at a restaurant. Fire Chief Rod Strivens says a man and a woman sustained injuries in a blast that was reported around 5 p.m. Thursday at a restaurant that was closed at the time. Strivens says the man and woman were using cleaning supplies in a bathroom at the facility when a minor fire ignited. The fire, which caused minimal damage to the building, was quickly extinguished. A statement from the Dixon County Sheriff's Office says EMS crews transported two victims with burns to a hospital. The extent of their injuries wasn't immediately clear, and they were not identified.
