Sen. Scheer: Education Visioning Bill is Complicated

NORFOLK - The Nebraska State Legislature adjourned its 60-day session late last week, but that doesn’t mean the lawmakers’ work for 2014 is finished - in fact, far from it.  Norfolk Sen. Jim Scheer is the vice chairman of the Education Committee.  He says the Education Visioning Bill is extremely complicated and covers a span a span from pre-Kindergarten through adult education.  Scheer says he and his fellow committee members will meet throughout the summer and hold hearings in the fall on the state’s Education Visioning bill.  Schheer says the Education Committee will meet approximately 15 times throughout the summer, and hold three hearings - one in each of the state’s congressional districts - this fall.
