Services Scheduled for Long-Time Norfolk Realtor

NORFOLK -  Funeral services have been set for a long-time Norfolk realtor.  Jo Schmit died Sunday at Heritage of Bel Air.  She was 75.  Schmit’s career with Dover Realtors began in the early 1970s and spanned 40 years.  As an associate broker, she earned the title of Certified Residential Specialist, the highest designation awarded to sales associates in the field.  She was also honored with numerous other awards throughout the years, including The Norfolk Board of Realtors’ Lifetime Achievement Award.  She was also active in many Norfolk and area charitable organizations and is especially remembered for her tireless work with Habitat for Humanity.  Funeral Services for Jo Schmit, are scheduled for Thursday morning at 10:30 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norfolk.  Visitation is set for Wednesday evening from 4 to 7 at Home For Funerals in Norfolk.
