Small Business Owner Says Every Customer is His Boss
NORFOLK - A Norfolk man has been able to start and grow his own business with the assistance of Norfolk’s Small Business Resource Team. Luis Onate decided to start his own granola business eight years ago. He started in his home, and has been able to expand into a store at 600 West Benjamin Avenue. The SBRT helped him apply for and acquire a low interest loan to make his dream come true. Onate says he once thought that owning a business would mean being his own boss – but he has learned that every customer who comes through the door is his boss. Onate sells flavored granola as well as homemade cookies, muffins and rolls at the Granola House. His products are also distributed through local grocery stores.
