Lawdawgs post 27-14 win over Quad Cities

Jeb Olson ran for 101 yards and a touchdown as the Nebraska Lawdawg semi-pro football team dropped the Quad Cities Wolfpack 27-14 last night at the Norfolk Middle School Field.  Lawdawg quarterback Chuck Wright threw for 176 yards off 12-21 passing and two touchdowns in the victory.  Wright was also intercepted twice.  Teammate Alvin Gunter hauled in a 19 yard touchdown pass while Steven Rush caught a 29 yard score.  The Norfolk-based Lawdawgs totaled 327 yards of offense while the Wolfpack mustered only 173.  The Lawdawgs' Caleb Hahne collected seven tackles and a fumble recovery in the win.  They led 20-6 at halftime and improve to 4-1 on the season.  Quad Cities drops to 5-3.  There was a combined 22 penalties for 215 yards in the game between the two teams.  An earlier loss to the Kansas City Panthers, was determined a forfeit win for the Lawdawgs due to a rules violation by the Panthers.
