Lutheran High Northeast boys basketball coach Greg Rathke resigns

Lutheran High Northeast has added another coaching vacancy in boys basketball as coach Greg Rathke resigned.  No replacement has been named at this time.  Rathke, will remain as assistant principal, athletic director, & track & field coach.  He just completed his 13th year as head coach.  Last year’s squad finished 21-6 and lost in the opening round of the State Tournament to eventual state champion Southern Valley.  Rathke’s record at the school was 166-132.  He coached the team to a state runner-up finish and three state tournament appearances.  The coaching change is the third in the last month for the school as girls basketball coach Shannon Pospisil resigned and was replaced by Darin Suckstorf.  The school had also announced that wrestling coach Henry Aschoff resigned and former Eagle wrestler Jesse Peters accepted the coaching position.
