Northeast Hawks men's basketball adds Shaka Taylor

The Northeast Hawks men’s basketball team has landed another recruit to their roster from Norfolk.  After adding former Norfolk Panther Jalen Bradley in mid-April, the Hawks have brought Shaka Taylor of Lutheran High Northeast on board.  Taylor, a guard, averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.8 rebounds last year for the Eagles.  Taylor contributed to a Lutheran High Northeast team that reached the state tournament during his sophomore & junior seasons.  The Northeast Hawks also have signed guard Kevin Metoyer of Omaha Westside; 6’8 center Omar Venable from Decatur, Georgia; and guard Pierre Conwell of St. Paul, Minnesota.  Northeast finished last season with a 14-17 record.
