Stanton County Prisoner Escapes from Thurston County Jail

STANTON - Stanton County authorities are asking citizens from throughout Northeast Nebraska to be on the lookout for a Stanton County prisoner who escaped from the Thurston County Jail early this morning. Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger says Mark Kuehn was recently convicted of two counts of felony theft and faces charges of being an habitual criminal when he is sentenced. Unger says Kuehn has a history of fleeing from authorities, and was once extradited from Missouri. Unger says Kuehn should be considered extremely dangerous, and anyone who sees him or any suspicious vehicle or activity should immediately call local law enforcement. Kuehn is described as 5 foot 3 inches tall and 130 pounds. Unger says Kuehn has numerous tattoos all over his body.
