Stanton man dies from injuries suffered in April 6th accident

STANTON - A 29-year old Stanton man has died several weeks after being critically injured in a one-vehicle rollover accident north of Stanton.  Christopher Matthies died Tuesday morning in a Lincoln hospital.  He suffered severe head injuries in the April 6th accident about nine miles north of Stanton when the SUV he was driving lost control and rolled.  He was taken by medical helicopter from the scene and had been hospitalized since.  He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was partially ejected from his vehicle.  Two passengers were hospitalized but have recovered from their injuiries.
