Suspect Arrested in Sioux City Double Murder

SIOUX CITY, IA - A 26-year-old man faces two counts of first degree murder and one count of attempted murder in connection with a double-murder early Friday morning in Sioux City. Police say Juan Antonio Nino-Estrada is being held on $2-million bond. The names of the victims have not been released, but police say they were acquaintances of Estrada's. A female was dead at the scene, while two men were transported to Mercy Medical Center. One was pronounced dead and the other underwent surgery. Drug involvement is suspected, but police have not said if any drugs were found in the home. Two children were asleep in another room at the time of the murders. They were not injured.
