Two Men Arrested in the Theft of Construction Trailers

NORFOLK- Two men have been arrested in their suspected involvement in the theft of 2 construction trailers. Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger reports that 38 year-old Mark Kuehn of Stanton and 48 year-old Kevin Mendenhall of rural Battle Creek were charged with the theft of over 10-thousand dollars worth of construction equipment and possession of methamphetamines. A motorcycle was also recovered from the Stanton residence in possession of Kuehn during the investigation. The motorcycle was stolen in 2011from a residence in Norfolk. Kuehn is also being charged with Terroristic Threatening in a separate incident that occurred Thursday evening in Stanton. A 3rd man, 62 year-old Ernie Mastny of rural Stanton also faces charges of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property after stolen property was located in his possession at his residence. Both Kuehn and Mendenhall are being held in the Pierce County Jail. Additional arrests are possible as the investigation continues.
