United Way Exceeds Fundraising Goal

NORFOLK - The Norfolk Area United Way celebrated another successful campaign at Wednesday night’s Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours.  The campaign raised $539,394.86, and exceeded its goal by about $1500.  That was thanks in large part to the help of of 91 firms designated "fair-share givers."  To earn "fair-share giver" distinction, firms must donate the equivilent of $35 per employee.  2014 Campaign Co-chairman Brandon Doke will succeed Chairman Juan Sandoval in 2015.  Bob Marshall will serve as co-chairman. New directors for 2014 will be Rich Skillett and Celise Swanson. Brad Easland, Mike Hart and Paula Pflueger were recognized as ex-officio members who are leaving the board this year.
